Cody Pueo Pata
Senior Cultural Advisor
pueo@kareykapoi.comClassically-graduated in 2001, Cody Pueo Pata is the Kumu Hula of Hālau Hula ʻo Ka Malama Mahilani, based in Kahului, Maui. As a founding member of the Leo Kāhoa steering committee of Huamakahikina–an international coalition of Kumu Hula that advocates for the integrity, stewardship, and protection of Hula–Pueo has been instrumental in inspiring public recognition of Hula and the role it plays in our community. Pueo is also a member of the Kumu Hula Steering Committee for the Hālau of ʻŌiwi Art, and the former Cultural Advisor to Mayor Victorino. An award-winning recording artist, Pueo is a sponsored by Kanileʻa ʻUkulele with 21 feature albums and the author of “Ohu'ohu na Mauna o 'E'eka, Place Names of Maui Komohana.”

Sabrina-Lynn "Bri" Tahauri

Baldwin High School as a student-athlete and later graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of Arts in Communication (BA) at the University of Hawaii at Hilo. With a passion for organizing and attention to detail, Bri enjoys overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring that business processes are efficient and effective. Prior to joining Team KKL, Bri served in multiple roles of management, ranging from retail to office. Most recently, Bri spent the last 9+ years as a licensed insurance producer in multiple lines of insurance.

Before joining the KKL team, Angela worked in hospitality. With over 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry, she has gained valuable insight into delivering exceptional customer service. She has developed strong interpersonal and communication skills, allowing her to effectively interact with guests and colleagues.

She’s an alumna of Kamehameha Schools Maui, UH Maui (Hawaiian Studies), and UH Mānoa (Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Social Work and Education). Anuhea has been an ʻōlapa of Hālau Nā Lei Kaumaka O Uka for 20+ years with Kumu hula Nāpua Greig Silva and Kahulu Maluo-Pearson. Hālau has given her an abundance of opportunities to gain ʻike and be a vessel through hula that reinforces the foundational pillars and values in her life. Anuheaʻs journey, continuous learning and achievements are rooted in the deep aloha she has for Mauiʻs rich cultural tapestry, her ʻOhana and community.

Her hobbies include watching Netflix/ Hulu, drawing, singing, and playing ukulele, guitar, and piano. She also enjoys spendng time with family and friends.

Sterling Higa

sterling@kareykapoi.comSterling Higa is a nonprofit leader, educator, and writer. He served on the communications faculty at Hawai‘i Pacific University for five years, teaching public speaking and technical communication. He also wrote for Honolulu Civil Beat and Hawaii Business Magazine. Sterling cofounded and serves as executive director of Housing Hawai‘i’s Future, a nonprofit movement creating opportunities for Hawai‘i's next generation by ending the workforce housing shortage.
